Belot on your phone
Belot on your phone: the Android and iPhone app
Belot is a game for short breaks – a deal on the bus, a game while you wait for someone. That is why Belot Arena is built to be comfortable on a small screen.
You have two options: the app for Android and iPhone, or the same game straight in your mobile browser. Either way the table, the rules, your profile and your rating are the same.

Get the app
The Belot Arena app (listed in the stores as “Белот Арена”) is free on Google Play for Android and the App Store for iPhone. It has every mode the website has: games against people, ranked games, private rooms with friends, games against bots, the tutorial and puzzles.
One profile on phone and computer
The app and the website use the same server and the same profiles. If you registered on the website, log in to the app with the same email or Google account – your rating, game history and statistics are waiting there. On iPhone you can also sign in with Apple.
It also means people from the app and from the website can sit at the same table. Your friend on a phone and you on a laptop play in the same private room with no difference at all.
Browser or app?
If you play rarely or are on someone else’s phone, the browser is perfectly fine – open belotarena.com and play without installing anything. If you play often, the app is more convenient.
| App | Mobile browser | |
|---|---|---|
| Installation | Yes, from the store | Not needed |
| Getting into a game | One tap from the home screen | Open the website |
| Vibration on your turn | Yes, can be switched off | Depends on the browser |
| Game modes | All | All |
| Profile and rating | Shared with the website | Shared with the app |
Tips for playing on a small screen
- The app works in portrait and landscape. In portrait your hand is shown larger; in landscape it is easier to follow the whole table. Try both.
- Cards you may not play under the rules are dimmed – you can’t make an illegal move even with a big thumb.
- You have 30 seconds per move. If you are interrupted the game doesn’t stop: when time runs out the system plays for you. If you lose connection, you return to the same game from the home screen.
- On the underground or wherever the signal is weak, play against bots instead – frequent disconnects in a game with people spoil the deal for the other three as well.
- If your battery is low, turn down the brightness rather than the effects: the game itself is light, the screen is not.
Ads in the app
Belot Arena is free and funded by ads. In the app they appear in the menus and sometimes after a finished game – never during a deal, in the bidding or while you wait for a match. You never need to buy anything to play, and there are no chips that run out.
First steps in the app
- Download the app and open it – you can start as a guest, without registering.
- If you are new to Belot, go through the tutorial: about five minutes, step by step at a real table.
- Play one game against bots to get used to the controls.
- When you are ready, tap “Play Online” for a game with people. For ranked games create an account – with email, Google or Apple.
- To play with friends, create a private room and send them the code.
Belot with friends from your phone
A private room is the easiest way to play with your group when everyone is somewhere else. On a phone it works like this: create a private room, copy the code and send it to your group. Your friends enter the code in the “Room code” field – in the app or on the website – and sit down. If someone is late, you can start with a bot in the empty seat.
If you and your partner want to practise as a pair, sit opposite each other and leave the other two seats to the bots. More on rooms, seats and teams in Belot with friends.
The same rules everywhere
Whether you play on a phone, a tablet or a computer, the table follows the same Belot rules and counts the points the same way. If you want to check something on the go, the guides on the website are made to be easy to read on a phone too.
